Old man, a fragmentary figure emerging from a printed page, as if torn from time and language.
The face takes shape through erasure, between text and black matter.

Description
Original India ink drawing on a book page. Unique piece.
The text traverses the figure, surfacing beneath the blacks without ever yielding. It explains nothing: it resists.
The ink is applied in deep, sometimes abrasive masses, to the point of causing the support's legibility to waver. The face seems to take shape within the very erasure of language, as if the figure were born from what has been covered, forgotten, denied.
The gaze is closed, absorbed. It does not seek dialogue but imposes a presence. This is not a psychological portrait: it is an apparition. A figure of wear, of compressed memory, of time that sediments rather than narrates.
Here, the book no longer transmits knowledge. It becomes matter, a surface of struggle.
