The Watchcat
500 €
A hooded cat emerges from the darkness, illuminated by the halo of a flashlight. At the border between the mystical and the fantastical, The Watchcat garde l’ombre et interroge le regard.
Chaque mot visible devient un fragment de sens, comme chuchoté par l’image.

Unique work
Description
Dessin original à l’encre de Chine sur page de livre.
Nocturnal apparition or silent guardian, The Watchcat captures the instant when light cuts through the night. Its feline face — almost human, almost ghostly — emerges from a deep black background, while the printed words of an old page surface beneath the ink, revealing fragments such as *“singularly,” “fantastic,”* or *“contemporary art”…* Clues left for the dreamer.
Its hood inks the silhouette of a monk or a spirit, and the bowl-shaped flashlight it holds seems at once a light, an offering, or a call.
This unique drawing, made with Indian ink on a book page, conjures the night, the realm of tales, and that gentle strangeness that makes our certainties tremble.
A piece both poetic and slightly unsettling — to hang at home like a talisman.
