Abbaye Contemporary Art
Abbaye de San Remigio, Parodi Ligure, Italie
Group exhibition
From July 19 to 28, 2013
Installés dans l’écrin intemporel de l’ancienne abbaye de San Remigio, vingt artistes contemporains ont été invités à dialoguer avec l’architecture, le paysage et l’esprit du lieu.
L’exposition 4–5 Elements, third edition of a curatorial cycle rooted in the Piedmont region, offers a free and sensory interpretation of the fundamental forces:
water, air, fire, and earthand that fifth, intangible and mysterious element, which some traditions call ether, void, or sky..
Conceived as a sensory journey, this group exhibition does not seek to illustrate these elements, but rather to evoke their resonance — internal, physical, metaphorical — through works that fully engage with the abbey’s space, its historical echoes, its silence, and its thresholds.
Franck Saïssi She presents recent works, both intimate and enigmatic, continuing her exploration of memory, movement, and the trace left by the body’s passage through a territory.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday, July 19, 2013, in the presence of the artists and featuring an exceptional performance by Ben Patterson, figure historique de Fluxus.
Elle a été visible sur deux week-ends, jusqu’au 28 juillet, dans un lieu dont la force spirituelle et matérielle prolongeait la puissance évocatrice des œuvres.
