Franck Saïssi, contemporary painter and illustrator
An exploration of thresholds: memory, illusion, and the perception of reality
A French artist based in Nice, Franck Saïssi creates ink drawings on nautical charts and paintings that blend architecture, interior perspectives, and distorted landscapes. His universe blurs the boundaries between inside and outside, illusion and reality, in a poetic and visual tension. In his compositions, he assembles fragments of places—corridors, façades, industrial or maritime structures—to create scenes where space shifts and tilts.
Ses œuvres interrogent la mémoire, l’absence et la tension entre figuration et abstraction.
